Well on the balance of play I think Morecambe just about edged it. Only just but partly due to our wasteful finishing late on. McGee had more saves to make and in the second half they upped their game. Harsh perhaps as we defended well at times but it was an error from Turnbull who misjudged the flight of the ball for their goal. Once again the 4-3-3 didn’t work in an attacking sense with Dennis quiet and Saunders poor. Apart from working hard Harvey offers very little. A shame but that’s 7 defeats from 7 games and a trip to Stockport on Saturday having won their 10th game in a row tonight in all competitions. A few other points:
Thought LOC was excellent and my MOM.

Disappointing that once again Walker hasn’t completed 90 minutes of a league game. Lewis did ok but can we afford to have a part time player?

Apter did well again from the bench and surely deserves a start.

Overall much better tonight defensively but we look poor in the opponents box.

We can but hope that Norris will make a difference when fit. Otherwise we can only hope for one or two signings in Jan that transform things. Otherwise, back to the NL.
