Just seen that Hayde has been recalled from his loan spell at Marine. Seems to have done very very well for them. Will hopefully come into the reckoning for a squad berth on a regular basis now he has been seen in action.
I'm not sure he has been recalled, just played in last nights game

Andy Parkinson in the post-match interview seemed to say recalled.

In two minds about this. As ADD says Kyle did well in his loan spell at Marine and if O’Connor was needed for central defence, we’d need right-back cover for Cogley. Can’t see he’ll get much opportunity otherwise though.

Anyone know what’s happening with Stratulis? Loaned to Marine, had a great debut, then fell out of favour. Is he back with us, injured or? If available might have been better to have him than Walker on the bench

Definitely recalled. See Marine press release below. I was also wondering about Stratulis - have to assume he is injured as surely would make the squad at least if not?

you would think he’d prefer to come to a club in the top 3 but I guess Salford might give rangers a higher contribution of his wages

Yet again until there is a picture of McPake holding a Rovers scarf/shaking Micky's hand on the official site, I'm not going to get excited about this. Salford could make a greater contribution to his wages anyway.

Apparently Maynard ruptured ankle ligaments so that will be season over, hopefully we will bring in a striker or 2 in January.

Awful luck for him - and the club. Just when he opened his account for us in the league. BTW, isn't he actually our leading goalscorer in all competitions?

Terrible. We need to bring in a decent striker.

It looked a serious injury at the time. We definitely need to bring in another striker now.

Totally agree, we definitely need to bring in another decent striker as we cant afford to be left in the position we were in when we lost Vaughan.

Maynard has apparently said he’ll be out for a while with ankle ligament damage.

Rovers linked with a move for Woking frontman Tahvon Campbell who has 13 goals in the national league this season

We have been linked with a loan move for Bolton striker Eoin Doyle. It is suggested that Northampton and ourselves are trying to sign him, but he also has a long term offer from an Irish club. The Bolton press have confirmed that two English clubs are interested, but Ian Evatt has denied that a deal is imminent.

I think there is some truth in the rumour, as Doyle fell out with Evatt earlier in the season, and Bolton have now brought in Dion Charles for £300,000, apparently to replace him.

Doyle would be a great signing (but just speculation at this stage, of course).

Doyle would be a very good signing. At 33 he’s younger than several of our squad lol and although he’s never been quick, he is a natural goalscorer.
Of course his age as RLC suggests may mean a move back home a la Jeff Hughes. He actually got on the scoresheet today in their defeat at leaders Rotherham but it would be a coup if it happened (and is just what we need with Maynard out).

Doyle would be a great signing and fairly risk free if on loan. He was on fire not long ago with Swindon and then Bolton.

Whether we get him may depend on how much of his salary we can afford to pay (it won't be 100%) and whether we can offer him a deal in the summer. He is in the middle of a three-year contract, so would he take a drop in wages to get away from Bolton?
