Hayde starting again for Marine... Burton again only a sub for Staylybridge so his loan isn't working out so well

Think Stalybridge loaned a young striker from Salford just after Jake and he’s getting the nod and scored in last week’s win. So perhaps not the best loan move for Jake.

Charlie Jolley joins Chester on a one month loan. Chester have been in a right mess recently so hopefully he’ll get some game time and goals

We actually paid a fee for Jolley. I agree with AM he ought to have been loaned out sooner, but after a good game in midweek, maybe he can do enough at Chester for the Rovers coaching team to re-assess whether he might have a future with us. At present, I doubt it.

I always thought Jolley would end up in National League North. It is a decent move for him to a reasonable level.

Yes, I hope he gets games to prove himself. He's being doing pretty much nothing for the past 2 years.

A good month for our three young players out on loan. Charlie Jolley scores on his full debut for Chester, while Kyle Hayde and Jake Burton are both voted player of the month for their respective clubs.
I'm delighted for them all, as it must be doing wonders for their confidence and they can only be better players when they return. However, I hope they stay away a bit longer. Jolley and Burton must be light years away from a first-team place under our system, while it would need a few injuries and suspensions to see Hayde even get a place on the bench. However, I hope none of them give up hope of forcing their way into the team. We could certainly do with some younger blood.

Jolley impressed some Chester fans I know scoring and setting at least one other up.

Yes, he looked a class above from the highlights, although that does also say a lot about the standard at that level.

Fair comment RLC but you wonder why MM has not even given him 30 mins from the bench? It is clear that Mani and, perhaps others, are simply not up to it at L2 level and yet they are persisted with. Nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that.

Because he is even less up to it than Mani and the rest. He needs to get some experience at a lower level, and the loan move will do him good.

Copied from another site. No idea how accurate this is, but if Feeney is that high up in our wage structure, then I worry...

Would take the above with a pinch of salt. If true. O'Connor must have some agent! Doohan and him are both young lads on loan from Celtic, neither of whom has ever played for their first team. One shouldn't be earning 3.5 times as much as the other. Can't believe Morris earns so little given how significant a player he is for us
