Completely different side in the second half, with the exception of the trialist centre back. Looks like 442 now.

Goalkeeper trialist was apparently former Carlisle keeper Mark Howard.

Camerawork a bit patchy, but quite an extensive set of highlights. Burton’s goal looked decent, well placed header, out-jumping his marker from a free-kick and there seemed to be quite a lot of goal attempts from both sides. Rovers keeping the ball on the deck and some good passing play. Encouraging if this is the way we’ll be playing during the season

Thanks for posting NAP. Real shame about Jolley looked serious....
Two well taken goals - Burton looked good I thought and he is quick. Only early days but Hayde was awful beaten every time.
Overall an entertaining game - trialist keeper one ridiculous pass out from defence - otherwise difficult to know as not much else to do.
Anyone work out who the other trialists were?
Overall looked like we were passing it around quite nicely which as Boz says is definitely encouraging.

Centre half in first half was Kyle Jameson ex Oldham, other trialist no idea think went off injured fairly early on.

Quite a raucous atmosphere for a behind closed doors game. :)

I thought Bristow got forward well in the first half and Rhys Hughes produced some lovely passes after half time, including the assist for the second goal. The keeper was Tyrer apparently.

A decent finish from Burton, but we still need more up front.

Rhys Hughes is a bit of a bonus, if able to carry on performing like he did in this game. Seemed to be quite highly thought of at Everton too.

Bristow looked a bit raw in the attacking sense, got into good positions only to not make the most of them. Something that needs working on.

However, Bristow's first touch and link play seemed good.

For sure. If Ethan is to be deployed as a wing-back or be the regular starter on the left then it’s an aspect of his game that will require some attention. As you rightly point out a lot of encouraging features too.

Hewlet in goal. Can't see he can be any worse than young guns down the pecking order at Prem or Championship clubs.
