I think we have to give some credit to Harrogate. They drive forward well and cause defense problems. Turned into a good open game now.We don’t seem as assured defensively as usual.
That's why we need more goals as we will have games were we concede a fewWe don’t seem as assured defensively as usual.
Yes agreed. Davies has looked a bit shaky but as Ian says, credit to Harrogate who are dangerous as their league position showsWe don’t seem as assured defensively as usual.
Would happily take a point now.
At least we know generally what the best of this division has to offer. Whilst Harrogate were good on the attack, I thought they were fairly weak in defence and there were moments in the game when there were big gaps in their defence, we just did not have the bodies in the box to capitalise.we have played all the top teams after Saturday so I am not complaining
I understand, Boz. We could have easily won, but with worse luck/play we could have lost. There are always a lot of these games every season. Winning them or salvaging a point is what makes the difference between promotion and being an also ran. Personally, I think a draw on a rival’s ground is worth celebrating.A few thoughts on recent posts.
Macmanaman wasn't as involved or influential as in recent games. Marks out of ten would probably be 5, where the par is a 6, he didn't have a stinker by any stretch.
Nevitt was often far too isolated and won the ball, but didn't have an out ball or flicked on headers but nobody else following up. While all the midfielders would have a role in backing him up, Foley in particular should have got closer. However, after the early effort cleared off the line, Sam seemed less involved than usual.
I agree with ADD, my expectation was also Micky would make more changes to freshen things up. However, the fact that we finished the game the stronger suggests maybe leaving things alone was the right choice?
While it was a fair outcome, can't decide if the draw was a good result or not. On the balance of play, we deserved at least a point, but given we're playing catch up following our slow start, would have liked a win. How significant those dropped points will be, only time will tell.
I think it was a good point and important not to lose to another team near the top of the table. We just need to keep picking up points and come January I think there will be a few ins and outs which will end up improving the squadI understand, Boz.
