Fair play to Dawes. He knows we won't win this competition and are underdogs tonight to say the least. So, experimenting with formations and bringing in other squad members will at least get players match fit and possibly identify another way to play. It's bold and risky, but simply fielding Saturday's team and formation would probably result in a defeat and teach us nothing.

I'm not sure Norris and Dennis are that fit but a start is good at least. I hope they play well. Will be interesting to see how Yearney fits in at the back and how young Taylor gets on. Shame Lewis gets another start. It looks like Dawes is doing some experimenting early on.

I'm not sure Dawsey has many options other than Lewis re the defensive midfield role once Walker is ruled out.
He isn't going to spray passes around like Walker, but he doeshave the attributes to break up play, get a foot in etc. So long as he wins it back and gives it simple it'll do until Walker is fit. Probably weeks away for me.
If MacAlear stays as keen and as fit as he's shown so far, I can see him putting pressure on Hendry. Great pro that he is, he needs to see the passes earlier for me.
