A good move sees hendry with a great chance but a poor finish. Could easily score again here

Hughes with a shot over but we’re playing some good football. Easy on the eye

Long may it continue, play to your strengths.
A good half, playing some decent football, could do with a second goal.
Indeed. To be fair the midfield four are all technically gifted which helps them play football. Defence hasn’t been under much pressure but expect a reaction from the hosts second half.

Second goal would kill the game off

Yeah, decent half that. Tranmere with 62% possession, 7 chances with 4 on target. Makes a refreshing change.

Not having the ball booted over their heads is helping the midfield and a change of formation too.

Looking at the passing, our accuracy at HT has been 80% which is decent. Against Gills, it was 52%.

It’s been a good first half, but job not done yet. The concerns are Mumbongo, who started well has gone a little quieter since a harsh yellow card and Hughes playing some risky balls back. Colchester mostly haven’t been able to convert some good ball around our box into goal attempts.
The style of play is easy on the eye and we’ve been the better side.

Just subbed Hughes with O’Connor, does Merrie stay at the base or move forward?

I guess that Hughes got a nock rather a tactical sub.

Oh, Boz. I didn't realise you were at the game. Hope your away jinx ends now Micky has gone. ;)

Mumbongo fires wide after a great tackle From merrie who later receives a booking for a foul

The hosts equalise with a penalty after cogley holds their defender in the box.

Looked quite a harsh penalty, but Rovers looking ragged for the last ten minutes

Yes we’ve done nothing in the final third this half when we could have gone for the second goal to kill the game off
