This has been on the cards for weeks now but we've been kidding ourselves as to how good we are
I really think if Hill stays in charge we won't make play offs though even if we do we won't winHe was playing for a point, which is unbelievable.
I agree.I really think if Hill stays in charge we won't make play offs though even if we do we won't win
There is no bright side, we were awful v Scunthorpe who git hammered by Morecambe and we were even worse tonight. On the bright side, Vaughan is back. Still five games to go. If it is to be playoffs, then hopefully Vaughan stays fit. Tranmere haven't achieved promotion the easy way for a fair few years.
Cutting but very very true.Walsall keeper did not have one shot to save... match report done.
That was not a team challenging for promotion, it was a complete mess. There is no bright side, we were awful v Scunthorpe who git hammered by Morecambe and we were even worse tonight.

And thats being kindThat was not a team challenging for promotion, it was a complete mess.
I don't want him here on principle to be honest. That showing from a team in a promotion race was completely unacceptable, and I don't see how he can lift that group of players after tonight's performance. At least with Dawes in charge there will be some spirit, regardless of where we finish. Not much to add really. I said when the line-up was announced that it was odd, but wasn't expecting quite such a non-event of a showing from Rovers and such poor tactical decisions from Keith Hill. Subs should have been made much earlier, Spearing should have been replaced by O'Connor when he picked up the yellow and Feeney was especially poor even before being caught in possession to give away the goal. After a below par performance at Scunthorpe too, why wasn't he rested too? Morris in from the off would have been better.
I think we might still scrape into the play-offs, but it will be limping in with no form or momentum at all. Will changing the manager at this point make enough of a difference, that's hard to call. However I have no longer any confidence in Hill as the man to take us forward.
MoM Joe Murphy a couple of quality saves, no chance with the goal. However must be a fear we'll have to make an emergency loan, as he picked up a knock late on, that could disrupt things still further.
