This has been on the cards for weeks now but we've been kidding ourselves as to how good we are

if MP really wants this to happen this season he has to bite his pride and just give Daws and parky the rains till the season ends, it is just not happening

You do wonder if palios will look at what happened at FGR and think about doing the same

Too many of them after over 50 years!
On the bright side, Vaughan is back. Still five games to go. If it is to be playoffs, then hopefully Vaughan stays fit. Tranmere haven't achieved promotion the easy way for a fair few years.

Season over for me, likely to drop out of the play offs at this rate but I think MP is unlikely to get rid at this stage!

A thoroughly depressing evening.

This was a rudderless and hopeless performance from Tranmere, as poor as anything that was seen under Mike Jackson. We had possession with no real purpose in the first half, but the second period was dire from beginning to end. No pattern of play, no confidence and a confused group of players who did not seem to know what their role on the pitch was. This was a group of players completely lacking in leadership.

Some of the tactical decisions were baffling. The persistence with Nugent once again, when it is perfectly clear that he is no longer up to it, and the decision to bring on O'Connor when we were chasing the game and were desperate for creativity.

The lack of confidence in the squad now is alarming, and Feeney, Woolery and Khan put in probably their worst performances in a Rovers shirt tonight. Only Joe Murphy comes out with any credit.

In our current state we will not be promoted, and I think Palios has a decision to make regarding the manager, whether now or at the end of the season.

We can very easily drop out of this altogether if other teams start picking up points around us. I think big decisions need to be made if we are to save this season.

Hill as an experienced manager should be revelling in the promotion challenge but is far from it.

The mindset is wrong, the draw at Grimsby wasn't a good point it was a poor result.

We are lacking in direction, tactics, leadership and the way things are going we won't make the play offs.

Not much to add really. I said when the line-up was announced that it was odd, but wasn't expecting quite such a non-event of a showing from Rovers and such poor tactical decisions from Keith Hill. Subs should have been made much earlier, Spearing should have been replaced by O'Connor when he picked up the yellow and Feeney was especially poor even before being caught in possession to give away the goal. After a below par performance at Scunthorpe too, why wasn't he rested too? Morris in from the off would have been better.

I think we might still scrape into the play-offs, but it will be limping in with no form or momentum at all. Will changing the manager at this point make enough of a difference, that's hard to call. However I have no longer any confidence in Hill as the man to take us forward.

MoM Joe Murphy a couple of quality saves, no chance with the goal. However must be a fear we'll have to make an emergency loan, as he picked up a knock late on, that could disrupt things still further.

I don't want him here on principle to be honest. That showing from a team in a promotion race was completely unacceptable, and I don't see how he can lift that group of players after tonight's performance. At least with Dawes in charge there will be some spirit, regardless of where we finish.
