We had the chances without being clinical bit we look pretty poor and look set for a season of struggle. We lack leadership on the pitch and appear mentally fragile.
As for the recruitment that looks very poor to say the least, to sign 2 injury prone strikers beggars belief so gives no real competition for the strikers

Recruitment of strikers has been poor since we signed Norwood and Cooke, not real surprise that we're struggling for goals! You can't fault their endeavours and hard work but none of them will get us 20 a season....they'll struggle for the that between them!!

With better service Hemmings would get close to 20, but it doesn't seem to me that him and Nevitt are a partnership and the back ups are a young lad and 2 Injury prone strikers.

A frustrating night but ultimately with 8 shots on target for the visitors versus our two they clearly deserved to win.
Their early goal knocked the stuffing out of us. Cookie losing Byrne and heading in although Doohan perhaps could have dealt with it.

The rest of the half it was men against boys and they hit the post. We came into it a bit but Micky must have read the riot act at half time and we came out very strong and a good move saw Hemmings finish well showing he will score if we give him service.
We had some momentum but they held firm and cookie headed in the winner.

Recruitment again an issue. We’ve lost so much experience and really seem to lack leaders on be pitch. We signed two strikers in glatzel and mumbongo who came with injury records and surprise surprise aren’t fit. I feel sorry for Paul particularly but we can’t afford to carry injured players. Nevitt again missed good chances tonight but he’ll start again on Saturday as he has no competition.

Hemmings would easily score twenty goals in a good side. He is better than Cook, but the service he receives is generally poor. He showed his brilliance with those two or three efforts at the start of the second half tonight.
