    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

League Two Notts County (5) v Rovers (0)

The damage has already been done though. If you are trying to avoid things getting even worse, shouldn’t he be looking at taking off one of Finley or Lowe who haven’t got the legs to last the full game?

5-0. Smith heads a cross away but pulls their lad back in the box and Dennis tucks the penalty away

his appointments havent been great , who says the next one will be better. got to hope for 2 worse teams .
Like politicians all managers end in failure. Plenty on here wanted him, I had my doubts. Not results it's methodology, lowe as the ultimate rear most man defies everything I have observed of him unlike smith

Whilst I do agree, we have lost 8 out of 9 games so a new manager would struggle to be worse
its a terrible run , Crosby should know his players by now , there are clearly issues of fitness , they cant play the passing game because there arent any easy options, because the team dont run enough. we cant even outmanouver 10 men. its likely to be 10 out of 11 .nobody gave us a chance before today , so we shouldnt be surprised at the result

That second half was as bad a performance as I have seen from a Tranmere side. Defensively we were shambolic.

In mid January we had a fifteen point gap to the bottom two. The gap is now nine points.

We are in grave danger of relegation and change is needed.

Mellow submarine says: We shouldn't be surprised at the result

Well he's spot on there....but it's the nature of the defeat that is so dreadful. No passion, no desire, no real interest shown. It's a damned disgrace.

i think the alarm bells should have been ringing weeks ago , as someone else has said , they have been moving players around like its preseason. it feels like Crosby is in panic mode.

It's not the fact we lost it's how we lost is the issue

Crosby has lost the plot, just like he did at Vale. All this tinkering clearly shows he has no clue how to stop the slide and is making us worse by the week. To say his team were coming here to win is a plain lie. He had no intention of winning this game and the guy is deluded to think he can contain a team like County for 90 mins. We got what we deserved, a right old thumping. The tactics were negative, the players awful, we cannot put three passes together and the problem with the defence continues. Something else AC hasn't been able to get a grip off.

The only contribution we made to that game was an awful shot from Whitaker that went miles over and a weak free kick effort straight into the keeper. That was it.

Pathetic, the lot of them.

Before the game I predicted a 3-0 defeat, I thought I was being pessimistic, it turns out I was over optimistic. It is not the defeat that has upset me, as I expected it, its the manner of the defeat, there was no passion or determination shown, it was like watching lambs going for slaughter.
