Rovers have been poor so far, our best chance being the over hit back pass which their keeper misjudged. Swindon score with just about their first chance though did look a decent finish

Swindon poor defensively but our attack is toothless

I think we’ve played ok Boz but only up to a point. We just don’t look like scoring

There have been a lot of half-hearted performances from Rovers in the first half, Morris, Saunders, Walker in particular. Swindon are gaining in confidence from our ineptitude although they look a fairly poor side defensively. An erratic referee with some random decision making hasn’t helped.

The biggest problem we have is the lack of anything substantial up front. We have been limited to a couple of crosses and scuffles in the box but their keeper hasn't had a good save to make. In contrast, Swindon have had at least three very good chances and scored from one of them. They also defend in numbers and we are struggling to break through.

It’s been better this half though a good McGee save just after the equaliser.

Brilliant turnaround from the lads who looked a little off the pace in the first half. Swindon looked a bit flat after they gifted us the first goal and we just went on from there. The home form continues to be impressive and Adkins has them playing well and with confidence. Please sort the away form out and we will quite rapidly climb the table but for once, the table is looking a lot better tonight. Merry Xmas everyone.

Probably deserved to edge it in the end and we needed the result to provide some distance from the bottom two. Though we got lucky when the ball struck the hand of a Rovers player, well away from his body in the penalty area, in modern refereeing that’s usually a penalty.

Agree with the sponsors MoM as Tom
Davies good defending and well struck goal. Morris had a much better second half, but I still felt that Saunders, despite his role in the equaliser and Walker were below par. Happily take the points, but thinks there needs to be some careful analysis of the performance by the management.

Started brightly and pressed well. They looked dodgy at the back but we just had no cutting edge or played the wrong pass. They scored from nothing and it looked like one of those days. Credit to Nigel for getting Hawkes on early for an ineffective Saunders and after Morris continued his good goal scoring form, Tom Davies fired in a winner. Despite 6 minutes injury time we managed the game well. Swindon are very dangerous in the final third but were defensively poor and it showed.

As Boz says Swindon were denied a blatant penalty right in front of me when an outstretched arm from Morris hit the ball but that’s the luck you need sometimes.

Subs were interesting as LOC didn’t want to come off but Yarney did fairly well. Hawkes looked lively and it meant Apter played central for the final part of the game. Four home wins in a row - if we could just sort out that pesky away form.

Results are the most important thing going into chrimbo fixtures. We got a win, and I was cold. Heart warmed and smiling on walk home. Can't ask for more before boxing day.

It's gonna get tough from Tuesday on.
