While it is nice that our success on the pitch this season has been noted, these televised matches are becoming a bit of a pain. We already have a 12.15 kick off at Sutton in a few weeks, and now the Wrexham home game on 8th October has been switched to the same time, thus diluting the derby atmosphere and probably significantly reducing the attendance. Added to which, the game at Dagenham a week earlier has been switched to 5.30 pm, which means a very late arrival back on the Wirral for the travelling SWA.
It would not be so bad, but the sums we receive for these matches are apparently pitiful (between £1,000 and £5,000 per game). You would expect this kind of interference in the Greed League, but not at this level.
