    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

Rovers old boys

Lost me you know..

Is DB saying the lads tried on Tuesday? Because i put more effort in getting to the game and walking up the 20-30 stairs to my seat than at least 8 of them out on the park.

We've been ok in parts in the scoring dept throughout the season but there isn't a single defensive player who can say come May that they've earnt a deal anywhere in L2 or another pro league.

I don’t think many came out of the Harrogate game with any credit, but over the season so far, I don’t think any area of the park comes across in a positive light. For me, probably the midfield has probably been the weakest; those with the stamina lack the necessary guile and vice -versa. Perhaps that can be mitigated by packing the centre of the park.

Keeping Davison And Saunders in the summer said everything to me i was hoping Ironside when he came in was going to be good but noooooo not working and yes we haven't played to his strengths but still he is poor, but again when crosby had no staff, and the pich was not treated in the summer and the forever going takeover and the rotting fan park, the whole place stinks, and the fact that the owners can't be assed to come to the games anymore says it all really

I'm saying there is nothing to suggest they weren't trying, otherwise you could just diagnose losing teams as ones with players who don't try. Man C must be very careful in recruiting players who try then?
We were dead in the water after 11 mins but we are told we are not fit enough and not trying. Most players, indeed some by me, are described in terms suggesting they should leave and until recently the manager was holding us back. Then of course we are blighted by an owner who has prevented a far better 'unknown' owner from leading us forward.
The bottom line that most should recognise is that it is perfectly reasonable that you all try to your upmost and yet get battered, in my case to the point were mobility the next day was hard! Or putting it another more glaring way, several Brits fought and lost convincingly to Muhammad Ali was this down to not trying?
We looked a total chaotic confusion for 11 mins and at this level you can get away with that sometimes, but we didn't and were dead at 2-0. More telling was in the second half we appeared to be trying to keep it respectable. Already Wild is selling himself over the task, like Crosby did but to date with calamitous effects.
We have spent all season in the safe zone so the idea this squad isn't up to it is flawed. Scrap the drunken Xmas tree formation, back 4 or 5 and a resilient midfield please.

The only point anyone can remember came from the worst pitch of the season and a heavier pitch may have saved some our more expansive concessions like the first two Tuesday? Let's not digress into the unimportant, Wild is right about one thing involving 8.
The Trust bowl is just a multi-million fantasy now and even for an area renowned for protest and victim claiming we can't seriously force someone to buy us.

Might be the type of player we need if we're going to play counter attacking football. Which I think is a good call.

Mottley Henry gave Chester the lead v Southport but Neil Danns men equalised on 90 minutes with Danny Lloyd then firing in a winner for the sandgrounders on 95mins

A real Rovers old boy combo helping us out and MMs Oldham get another win. Jake Leake with an assist from Manny Monthe for the only goal.
A big game for in form Oldham tonight as they host a strong Notts County side.
