    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

Rovers old boys

Cole Stockton checked out years ago when he and his agent scuppered any chance of him getting a big contract anywhere, since then he's sulked and done nothing. A complete waste of time and a wage. A big shame all round in my opinion

Scored one in three playing back to goal, over a sustained period albeit less appearances at the Salford graveyard.
Better than anyone since Vaughan, and if had a lively striker alongside him or Joe? Might look like a football team

Stockton was awful when he played for us, then again he’s not the only one.

He stayed in the league when we went out. He clearly hasn't been awful since. Just like Cook he would have been solid as a second lead forward.
We seem destined to have just whenever gone else has two plus monsters, there again we have tried none.
I fear we will have wingers hitting 6'5" defenders with our crosses

I never rated him either Ian. Then my friend signs him for Accy. They have always had a great dressing room - will see if the management and a positive environment can get a tune out of him. They've also gone hunting in the 6th tier again after finding some good recruits there last year.

He was absolutely brilliant at Morecambe, all the hard work was paying off and it looked like only a matter of time before he picked up a huge contract in the second tier for a decent big side, but then he decides to down tools for half a season, gets benched, comes back for the last few games still scoring for fun for that poor Morecambe side so he wasn't out of form or injured. A lot of people expected him to kick on and give it a good go at a higher level and for reasons only he will understand he decided to sabotage the whole thing. He must have the worst agent in football. He has still done ok at lower levels as pointed out but what a real waste of a hard earned opportunity, baffling.

Fair play Rover. I honestly didn't expect him to do anything based on what I saw at PP.
I did notice him banging a few in since he left. Never realised he was as impressive as say. And that's why I can only opine from the side lines like the rest of us amateurs. :)

Stockton’s an enigma.

I remember him earning a three year contract here when he was 20. And Mellon preferring him over Cook for a little while. Hearts then saw enough to sign him. And he was one of the top scorers in League 1 only five years ago. So there’s definitely a player in there.

But my word he can be flaky.
