So apprehensive about tomorrow. In my mind I've had this as a nailed on 1-1 draw all week, and then worry what's happened elsewhere.
A win would be glorious.
Apprehensive is the word. I've been fairly chipper all season despite evidence to the contrary, but I'm now prepared myself for the worst. It almost seems fated, but we can just hope.

Indeed. Just imagine if after half an hour we’re 3-0 up and they’ve had someone sent off. We could all relax for once.

Ain’t going to happen though. I can’t see anything other than another home defeat (would be 7 in a row I think), but a result elsewhere saves us.
I'd like to say "Where there is faith.........."
But there's deffo not much of that about these days! So it's fingers and everything else crossed.

That would be Tranmere having it easy we don't do easy

I can't see how this will be any different from all the other poor home games. We have the same players who let's be honest, are useless. They've had plenty of chances to put this to bed and haven't stepped up. The odds are in our favour to stay up but as @bring back the cowshed! states above, it almost feels like fate will pull us down such are the state of our results over the last few months.

I have said it before, but Wild must adopt a positive attitude tomorrow and go for a victory from the first minute. Our only hope is to score first and build some
confidence, on the pitch and in the stands. His tactic of sitting deep and allowing the opposition on to us has been an utter failure.

His pre-match interview, while interesting regarding off the field matters, was annoying. His dubious claim that he has improved us in the last six weeks seemed to be directed at potential future employers, rather than Tranmere supporters.

I will settle for 3-0 up and Grimsby with a man sent off after half an hour Sparky.

I agree about the approach needed, RLC, but not an easy task as we also need to avoid the implosion that happened v Harrogate.

Questions about line-up would be whether we ditch one of Negru/Tamen now that McGowan is fit, to enable us to play Obiero/Blacker? Do we use Joseph in a more attacking role with a 433 like the second half at Cheltenham? It would be good if Whitaker could re-discover his scoring touch too, since coming back from injury..

Wild's pre-match was bizarre in parts. A lot about refereeing, the Dennis goal should have stood, but it was a fairly tight call. Having seen footage of the Oldham red card at Newport, successfully appealed, it's hard to call for me, but I wouldn't have it as a contender for the worst decision of the season. Wild is a bit Adkins like in his account of games, while he may have improved us in some aspects, I don't recognise the steady improvement he describes. With Halifax's boss being poached by NLN Morecambe, there may be a vacancy for him there...

The Harrogate implosion was down to woeful team selection. I think it is perfectly possible to be positive, as we were in the second half at Cheltenham, and avoid that kind of defensive display.
I agree that we’ll have a stronger central midfield core than Plant and Warrington. However Grimsby arguably have a stronger attacking core than Harrogate, so an element of caution would be understandable.
Would you play Joseph up the field, bring Obiero back into the side, something else?

serious question how many players in the dressing room today will really CARE about where tranmere end up playing next season ? not saying the players won,t try but if you are out of contract are you going to bust a gut/risk injury ? will the loanees be already thinking about returning to there parent clubs ? some saying blacker should be involved but because of the loan situation he is the 1st to be left out, i,m sitting here thinking what a total shambles we have become.

I will settle for a whitaker worldie in the 98th minute to course chaos in the stands and rock the place, let us move the negatives on well we will after today's game, one big negative will walk away right after the final whistle, good luck hope you all have finger nails left, also imagine if we hada team doing well we would get gates like this all the time, oh well

Extends the loan of Barrett who is not good enough was a very poor decision and I can't imagine a few of the clubs who loaned us players our impressed either
Blacker and Sheffield United in particular. Our best midfielder and can't even get in the squad.
