OK, let's start this one early so we can all forget about yesterday's shambles and move onto the next game.

Port Vale away from home next Saturday. Always likely to bring a good following to Vale, so the atmosphere should be good.

Vale winning their last game 5-1 shows they are capable of scoring goals and are in good form at the moment.

This month, they've won 2 and drawn 1 scoring 10 goals and conceding 4. They are certainly banging in the goals at the moment.

This is going to be a tough game, but a very important one if we are to keep up with the top 6.

With the Oldham result yesterday it is more and more becoming a scrap for 6th place - thats the best we can hope for, but with us helping Swansea close the gap, there are more teams scrapping for that 1 place.

Vale will be a tough game after all they'll be buzzing with confidence. Hopefully Ronnie gets them fighting and we can pinch some points.

Too right - and look at Millwall - where did they come from? If they win their game in hand over Crewe tomorrow night they're right behind us and we still have to visit the New Den.

Three points would be very, very welcome on Saturday, to say the least!

Anything other than 3 points will mean we will need to win basically every other game and get a bit of luck too. We will need a good overall display to pick up the 3 points.

Swansea won tonight to occupy the last play-off slot for now.

What worries me is Ronnie's reported comments, which suggests he'll give the same 11 as started with Swansea another go. While we're stuck with Ward, who was one of the under-performers last week, I'd like to see Zola replacing Taylor up front and McAteer, if fit. While he probably won't start, would hope to see Carl Tremarco at some stage, as his pace may be handy given the wide pitch at Vale Park.

We'll have to do a hell of a lot better than last week just to get a draw.

I would like to see Davies upfront with Taylor to be honest. Dont think Zola should be included and Taylor on the bench.

Same team as last week... better start cos Greenacre has opened the scoring and we nearly got a 2nd straight after.
