NO!!! I keep clinging to the forlorn hope of a miracle that'll get us into the play-offs and give us funds to hang onto some of our better players. The stats suggest we had the better of the game, yet came away with nothing. Given the windy conditions, might a more obvious target man in Gornell have been a better bet? Why was Shotton absent, there was no suggestion of injury in the build-up?

Shotton had a groin strain, failed fitness test. Bas will be back in training on Thursday. That's meant to cheer you up....

They are bloody idiots at times. Conditions were pretty bad I believe, but that first half, nothing happened. Do they want to get out of this division? Ronnie's banging on about the penalty decision. We still would have drawn the game. Not good enough, we need to win!! There's still a chance, as we are still only three points off the play-offs, but it's slipping away by the week. Our terrible away form will let us down yet again..

Since November, we've picked up a grand total of four points away from home! ](*,)

I'm not surprised we managed to conceded a goal from a cross and give away a penalty when Goodison wasn't playing.

If the conditions were so bad, why did Achterberg have to hoof his goal kick? You can pass them out along the green thing! Hartlepool managed to score two playing against the wind so it can have been as much of a struggle as Ronnie Moore and the official website say it was! Also why wasn't Shuker playing in the hole like this:

It's like Brian Little - he is afraid to attack teams away from home - and he wonders why we've only picked up 4 points since November!

This away from home situation is ridiculous - it's not like the support is better at home then away, its usually the other way around. Rather then blaming the ref, the players, the pitch, mother nature and god knows what else, why doesn't RM look at the preparation him and the players do before away games - they must be doing something wrong! They look like they all go down the pub before a match or have some lunch at a dodgy little chef on the way there!

One obvious thing to do would be to practise on a pitch that is the same dimensions of the one you are playing on in the game, all you need is some paint or a few cones! It's like he hires a bunch of look a likes to play our away games](*,)

The problem is. How do we suddenly go from abysmal away record to winning four away games as Ronnie now said needs to happen? It's just not going to happen. We've only won 4 away all season!! Madness.. #-o

Let's face it. If we happened to sneak into the play-offs and fluke our way into the Championship next season, we'd come straight down again. There's just not enough quality in the squad.

Agree with much of the above, though unsure on current fitness if Goodison would have made much difference. The penalty for a shoulder charge in the area looked harsh, but there was no real need for the challenge. Away form is poor, but we got the combination right @Colchester. Let's hope we can do it again.
