first of all i never had a team sheet so couldnt keep up with the players.

1st half
6ft 9" keeper on trail looked good, but not that busy
ash taylor was very commanding
kay looked again only fit to be a squad player.
robbo looked busy.
harrison really did look like he hadnt been away- still very average
big ben looked slow but had some nice touches....... but never once trouble Lee atherton the CL centre back. (who plays in the soccerdome vets league against me)
dutch right winger looked ok
shef lad in the centre looked very very tidy.

2nd half
i gotta say wallace was pure class. simple as that.
power looked good but lightweight
mcgurk kept drifting inside
mc chrystal was calm and collected
holmes was good
AA was busy and a handful
jeffers tried hard but cant command a big wage on that showing
other right winger looked good.

overall a nice opening game.

my only worry is big ben...... too easily sussed out and out muscled

thanks for the review.

one thing i will say is you can call max power a lot of things but he is definitely not lightweight.

thanks for the review.

one thing i will say is you can call max power a lot of things but he is definitely not lightweight.

He has got a great shot as proved last night and a good passing range, But in the big boys league he will be up against some hairy-ass midfielders so will have to be strong and walk the walk.

Wallace on the other hand turned the same player 3 times in one move last night. Used his body superbly to protect the ball.

Once Power learns these tricks of the trade , he will be a good egg

Don't think we should be too critical re burgess. These are only friendlies, a chance to get the fitness levels up.
