League Two Grimsby (1) v Rovers (1)

Half time and we lead 1-0.

A very good half. Fairly comfortable at the back apart from a couple of moments and decent on the eye going forward. Could do with Patrick doing better going forward as he’s lost out a few times to their RB Hawkes doing his best but not really got forward down the right. Midfield trio working well.

Could do with another goal as expect a reaction from the hosts second half but very encouraging so far.
 
Do need to get something out of this game, particularly with Shrimps and Stanley winning and Carlisle drawing. Sounds like doing well so far but don’t want a reprise of Swindon.

Yes, I was going to mention Patrick. Hugely frustrating as he's lost out when in some really good positions. Shouldn't be too negative though, that was an excellent half from Rovers and Finley was excellent in the middle. I love the work rate, chasing down balls, not giving Grimsby any time on the ball, and as for the goal, it was well worked in the first place from the left and clearly bundled over the line but it was a great finish from Finley on the follow up.

Also some great play from Dennis who looks lively up front, Jennings and Hendry all playing well. Nice to see Hawkes back in action but probably playing too deep for his liking.

Anway, come on Rovers, let's keep it up!!
 
We deserved to be ahead at the break against a so far poor Grimsby team, however thi gs could easily change so we need to be on our metal especially the way the other scores are going

Clearly as shown by his interview in November when he put it out there how bad everything was he thought if MP can't be bothered to sort out this s@@t show why the hell should I?

We are still looking for a goal at least. Very frustrating all these draws.
 
A decent point in the end against another side in and around the play offs.

However Carlisle are now unbeaten in 4 and the Morecambe win tonight puts them 1 point behind us.

A shame as apart from Turnbulls error we win the game. Defence was very good otherwise with LOC outstanding. Could have been better in the final third though. Patrick wasteful at times.

Draws aren’t enough though and we need to win on Saturday against Bromley.
 
A well earned point against a team in good form. Just need a few wins as it's incredibly tight down there and I just hope we have not left it too late.
