Just as I expected, a home tie against Leeds for the first game of the season! Wow! Not sure if that's good or bad!

It's a great start. A guaranteed big crowd. Electric atmosphere. The squad should be fired up during pre-season. And I think we can get three points!

Just what Lorrainne will want. Big crowd will be there, plenty of media attention and now all we need is for Ronnie to rise to the occasion. If we win then we will have a few more supporters sticking around. This is a chance to get some more bums on seats for a while. Do we think there will be any special deal to attract those swing voters or not?

Don't know about special deals but there must be a strong possibility the game will be all ticket. Once the Cow Shed is full (just over two thousand?) there will be 5,000 plus Leeds fans trying to get into any other part of the ground if it's not made all ticket. Think the Police will have the final say on it.

What a start.... I can't wait for it all to begin. Possibly the best time to play Leeds too? A good fixture list... should be able to get to quite a few games.

Yeah good question. Was gonna ask that myself. That's normally sorted out within a week isn't it?

I dont mind them switching local games to Friday nights, but looking dpwn the list of teams we play, not a great deal of local ones left!

Saw on SSN last night a Leeds fan who could believe his GREAT Leeds side had to play the likes of Tranmere... he could hardly speak he was that shocked! *$-/?!s

It just makes laugh that. The fact that they are in our league because they are not good enough for the Championship seems to have escaped them.

I'm not sure that this will be the best time to play Leeds, especially given that any additions to the squad will need time to bed in, although hopefully the pre-season will help. As someone who works there, more looking forward to the return fixture in February.

At present, I'm actually quite apprehensive about the new season, slow off the blocks with re-building and a potentially difficult opener.
