Ellison Fee Agreed!?

Just read on teamtalk that we have accepted chesters 3rd bid for ellison and are now in contract negotiations.

Yes, bid accepted, just needs big Kev to agree personal terms with the club. I expect the deal to be wrapped up by the end of the week. Fee of around 50k I've heard.

I've just been reading on the official Chester website the following

"Whilst the the fee is remaining a secret, it is subtstantial and is a club record" said the City chairman, whose commitment and support has been saluted by City manager Bobby Williamson.



Digging a little deeper, Chester's record transfer fee is ?105,000 for Greg Blundell from Doncaster in 2005.

While something around that figure wouldn't be bad business that's only true if we can use some of the money to get someone half-decent in. The squad is looking very threadbare at present. The other question is how does it compare to what we paid out for him?
