The VNL has now decided that that lucky club is 4th placed Altrincham, having announced earlier today it was Gateshead’s original playoff opponents, 5th placed Solihull!

So here’s how the playoffs now look, battling for the honour of getting whupped by Nige’s champions elect in 24/25…

Barnet or the winner of Solihull v Halifax

Oddly, even though they’ve now had three spells in the EFL, Barnet are the only club amongst these who Tranmere have never played.
