Haver to wonder if a lower level Championship club will come in in January for him - 10 League goals and 12 overall especially in a side which I think will start to struggle this season is great going. Have to assume when he signed on with them again he negotiated a break clause that would allow him to move to a Chamionship club for a set transfer fee.
I would think a league 1 club would be more likely

Mullin against Hayde for Marine today. Will be interesting to see how Hayde goes.

Wasn't in our squad so can play for them.
Maybe so but the fact they bothered recalling him for the game suggests to me that they are not thrilled. Would suggest the odds on him being recalled are increasing and frankly seems little chance of him ever getting any game time with us now anyhow so maybe best all-round.

He will go back in January as he doesn't look upto the physical demands at this level and would allow us to bring in a better option

What about an unfit/partially fit Norwood? Genuinely don’t know if his return would be a good thing. His style of play may have been a factor in picking up injuries after moving on.

His fitness would be the big issue, but he would be by far and away the best striker we could bring in.

Norwood would be a big risk, but he seems to have lost his way at Ipswich. Coming “home” to Prenton Park, where he is a legend, may revitalise him. Hopefully he could put his personal issues behind him and remotivate himself. Presumably, he’d be here on loan for the last six months of his Ipswich deal, so the risk is minimised. I’d go for it!

We are apparently making a significant contribution to his wages, which is frankly a waste of money considering his contribution to date.

Yes, I agree. He would not be the all action player of his first spell, but his movement and finishing would still be a class above Nevitt's.

Olliem Banks scores another screamer for Barrow and Danny Lloyd scores his third goal of the season for Gillingham. I am surprised Lloyd is doing relatively well in the division above.

Off topic, but Wrexham scrape a late draw at Marine in the FA Cup. There is already talk of Parkinson losing his job.......

I cannot help but feel that we are being a bit harsh on a 20 year old forward on his first loan, who is coming off a long term injury. Maybe the simple fact is that he does not fit the Rovers style of play and thus you wonder why he came to us at all. He is not a winger where he was initially positioned. He probably should go back to Liverpool with a view to a loan elsewhere next season. It took Woodburn about three loans before he has really blossomed at Hearts. Glatzel's situation does really demonstrate how the Academy system does not help many young players. The best 5% make it at the top level and the rest have to adapt to a far tougher environment elsewhere where there is not so much mollycoddling. I was reading an article about Jordan Lussey, who was the next big thing a few years ago. He now plays for Curzon Albion.

He has played as an inside forward in a front three and in the number ten position, not as a winger. He will have played both positions previously at Liverpool.

The rest of your comments really just back up my original remark that we are wasting money on him. If our contribution to his wages was peanuts, his failure to even make the matchday squad would not be an issue. But the contribution is significant, so it is an issue.

We do not exist to act as a nursery for Liverpool. If he is struggling to overcome his injuries, ultimately that is Liverpool's problem, not ours.
