I like others will be looking for some statement on the managerial team soon. This simply can't go on, and it's real relegation form. Heaven knows what the atmosphere for home games will be like from now on under Barnes. PJ, expect to see attendances slipping further until Mathias is appointed

It's getting ridiculous, or maybe it's too late.. It got ridiculous, now it's getting very serious and depressing. That's 7 back to back losses. Can this seriously go on any longer?

it is very serious.i listened to the game and it sounded tranmere played ok at times but yet again denfensive mistakes has cost us.

i still dont understand why charlie barnett is not getting a game.and bringing on bain with 10 minutes to go is a waste of time.

a change has got to happen.the only problem is that if a new manager does come in he wont have any money to spend .

people calling for pj head too is very understandable but if he decides to call it a day whats going to happen to tranmere.

We won't get any points while we keep shipping goals in at the back, Barnes has done nothing to address that problem.
I mean the defence has been a shambles from day one and we have had some heavy defeats in the past month(that would have been even more embarrassing if it was not for Daniels).
What has he done to address this problem???? brought in a striker and a winger, So he just leaves the defensive problems hoping they will go away or that we will score 4 or 5 goals per match!!!
Sort it out or ship out Barnes

Well Barnes has now reached an all time low, blaming a 17 year old kid (Collister) for the defeat, this guys arrogance and stupidity never cease to amaze and amuse at the same time, only as time goes on its less funnier by the minute, pushing all the blame on to a kid like Collister, who should be playing in the kids team at his age, is the lowest act of betrayal by an absolute plonker who should never be allowed inside a football ground, least of all sitting in a managers seat.

Wake up PJ he has got to go, I have been a supporter of this club for 32 years, through the dark days of league re-election and crowds of less than a thousand, but under this management regime I am losing all hope, I am resigned to defeat before we even kick off! Sitting in the JK stand amongst many other season tickets holders, the concensus is that if they had not been conned into buying a new one for this year they would have not bother turning up as it is horrendous watching our club being torn to pieces both on and off the pitch by these two deadbeats, but the blame must surely lie at the feet of PJ, only he has the power to do something about it sooner rather than later, because Barnes is not going to go voluntarily, he will have to be kicked out as he is too arrogant to resign.

There thats my rant over, its off my chest, but having seen his comments after Exeter, blaming a kid for HIS latest cock-up I had to respond. :-x

Completely agree with the above comment from pmbtrfc1. I only hope to god PJ swallows his pride, realises he's made a huge mistake and acts ASAP. Like you say, Barnes wont be the first one to make a move. We could be down by Xmas and he would still come up with excuses how the team aren't doing the basics and blaming kids on the defeat.

It's also annoying how he keeps harping back to the Gillingham and MK Dons games as inspiration (even though we lost against MK Dons). I now realise we just got lucky!

20 goals conceded in 8 games. At this rate were going to let in around 103 goals!

Desperate

First post - normally just lurk but felt I must add how desperate Rovers currently are.

Been a fan for 45+ years - won't ever stop - but need something to cling to - a point - a win - a run of wins etc..

Come on :x

Hi mate, welcome...45+ years of following TRFC is quite impressive indeed. Can I ask how you rate Yardley against the likes of Muir and Aldo?

I disagree with those suggesting it'll be game over by Christmas however. Nothing will be decided that early. I'm an advocate for the '20 games minimum' rule for any manager but I'll admit to moving closer to the 'Barnes Out' brigade with each passing defeat. If we go through most of October without winning a home game, will PJ be able to resist fan pressure? Who will replace Barnes? That question may merit a thread of its own quite soon...for all we know PJ could be planning to size up candidate when he returns from holiday.

I dont think there is a lot to say on this subject that hasnt been said before. Each passing game sees us slipping to all new levels of despair. The problem is I cant see anything actually changing. I fear for what an in form Colchester side could do to us next week.

I was thinking over the weekend and wondered if anyone will take the initiative and organise something to show the supporters displeasure. There are 4 sites that seem to regularly be used by fans. All of these sites have a considerable number of people on them, if something could be organised uniting all of these fans together it could make life interesting.

I agree a show of strength from supporters would be great, a boycott of the game would show how angry we are at moment but would harm club financially. A great way would be everyone sits in one stand leaving two virtually empty. What a message of fan power that could be.

I tend to disagree with these protests and demonstrations outside the club. I don't see what good any of it does to the club. If the people that run the club can't see how much of a desperate situation we are in, then there really is no hope!

Ohh - and welcome to the forums DonkeyOatey :)

The funniest thing is that we have so few fans relative to the size of our stadium, that this is actually possible

I'm with Ian on this though...

I ask this only because I genuinely don't know, but regarding PJ being on holiday -- surely he reads the papers, or at the very least gets a phone call from someone telling him how we got on after each match. If he intended to get rid of Barnes wouldn't he break off his holiday to do it? It would only take a minute. Doesn't the fact that he's done nothing mean he has no intention to act? And doesn't that mean we're due more misery for the foreseeable future?

And is anyone else finding it harder and harder to find new ways to express more and more disgust at the management after each game? I mean, I was really sure Barnes had to go three games ago. Now I'm really really sure. We have to win on Saturday because personally, I can't think of a way to make my disgust even more clear. It's the hardest part of this whole mess.

Say what you like about PJ and the board, but if Barnes continues to lead us to defeat after defeat, they'll have no choice but to hand him his P45. Unless we start to pick up some points then something will be done sooner rather than later, it has to.

I'm with Ian on this, the board and PJ hear the comments/boos/shouts made by fans during games, they see the abject performances, and note the dwindling crowds. Barnes is a man under intense pressure, he knows it, the players know it, and we know it.

I think PJ is enjoying his hols and has no intention to act yet. In the programme, if you read PJ's comments from the last game, he said we should all be patient with our management team. Do any of us have any patience left? Mines certainly run out..
