First things first, so seasons greetings to all White Reviewers.
A massive game for Rovers following the humiliation at the County Ground. This match looks by far the hardest of our Christmas fixtures as Crewe are in good form, and seem to have combined thier trademark passing game with some additional steel this season. Max Clayton, their under-18 international striker is the most touted of their current crop of youngsters but seems to have been replaced in recent games by De La Valle with the excellently named Arsenal loanee Chuks Aneke in midfield.
With Wallace still absent, Ronnie has suggested there will be one change, which presumably means either Goodison or Holmes will be replaced. Crewe play a 3-5-2 which could pose us some problems, but hopefully for once at PP we will impose ourselves early on and their tactics won't be an issue.
Evwn with Wallace missing, I think all three games over the holiday period are winnable and give us a great chance to gain some momentum again. The weather forecast for Boxing Day morning is not too bad so hopefully the game will go ahead, as a postponement is the last thing we need.
