mate, i'm not jealous, i simply like things to be correct.

Fact is, this is a riddle without an answer. It was invented by a morning radio show to "get people thinking". If you read the question properly you will see that your answer makes no sense as the question states "it enters the field of play at half time......but if it's a midweek game it remains until the next day", come on seriously, how can that be the players?

Quite simply, there is no answer.
