Just thought I'd keep you informed about a few ex Rovers players as I've spotted a few headlines recently regarding one or two ex-players and I know fans always like to keep in touch with how they're getting on and how they're doing. Is there really life after Prenton Park??? Not really but I'm going ahead anyway.
First up, poor Richard Hinds. He wasn't the best player but has done well for himself despite this. Now at a big club in Sheffield Wednesday, he has unfortunately suffered an injury setback: http://www.4thegame.com/club/sheffield-wednesday-fc/news/223140/hinds_setback_stuns_owls.html
Talking of injuries, and full backs, Rayn Taylor's story is a little more positive. Having suffered so much in the last couple of seasons, Ryan is back in training after injury and is set to play for Wigan in a couple of weeks, before that deserved call-up to Engaland (says I): http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10429~1390503,00.html
Off the field, sort of, Wayne Allison (the CHIEF) is taking to management, well assistant management to be precise. He has taken up a role with local rivals Chester City to work alongside Simon Davies: http://www.chestercity-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews.asp?cid=TMNW&id=406238
My friend and yours (tongue firmly in cheek at this point) Sean Thornton has been on the move again. His career has gone from strength to strength since leaving us. He slyly went off to then-Premiership side Sunderland, to play about 2 games at most, the followed by Donny Rovers, Leyton Orient and now he turns up at the mighty Shrewsbury! Ego taken a bashing has it? Oh dear... : http://www.shrewsburytown.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~1390305,00.html
That's all for now, can't find any more. If anyone has any others, please add them here! I love to hear how our old boys are doing.
