Terrible first half. I agree with Sparky that we haven’t been great but the referee has been woeful and it’s like watching Wimbledon from 20 years ago. Horrible, dirty team that have the referee on their side.

It was silly from Simeu but that’s what happens when the referee has no control over the game. Happened with Hawkes early on who has now been pulled off.

Horrible game really and I really can’t see us getting anything out of this.

When we get it down and pass it around we look decent but it's not happening often enough. They are a fairly big physical side but we have played into their hands

While it doesn’t excuse Simeu, the ref has been terrible in terms of foul detection, Hemmings in particular being pulled all over the place.

The full-backs have ventured forward very rarely , but looked decent when they have. Our distribution has mainly been punt and hope. Lewis had a decent early chance which he didn’t hit cleanly. Can’t see a way back from this.

Nevitt on for Merrie. Not sure about that one, one of the best attacks of the second half was the Bristow Merrie exchange on the edge of their box.
