    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

this has got to be the most frustrating time supporting Rovers

Real (as in cashflow losses ignoring depreciation) are £600k ish so realistically that is the money we are talking about if ticket sales/ revenues stay where they are. Probably need another £200k per year on top of that to fund a proper sports science department so we don't have so many injuries plus some more coaching staff.

Do you have any medical knowledge to make this incredible claim? About the only things a good friend of mine, owns a physio company and has worked at four league clubs, suggests would make any difference would be more robust boots but there is zero appetite for that. Norris/LOC injuries are arguable, Jones/Jennings etc are just laughable. Obviously we can just blame Palios

How is it an incredible claim?!
But as you ask I have zero medical knowledge DB but I do know that we always look unfit and I do know that sports men are more likely to pick up injuries when they are fatigued and although I don't know for a fact no I would happily wager we are not exactly recruiting the brightest and best even by L2 standards.
If you however think we have top L2 standard staff then I have a bridge for you to buy at a great price...

The idea we are unfit seems based on our poor results. Some of our injuries have come from players recently arrived and therefore conditioned by bigger clubs. Another conspiracy theory is that Palios hasn't invested in the playing surfaces. Crosby who uses the injury excuse has stated they haven't happened in training or have been impact ones. We watch the games at Prenton, how does anyone identify such an issue, do we get more injuries at home matches and surely opponents would also suffer? I think it is well known soft pitches cause less injuries and we water when it isn't soaking anyway.
I'd bet we pay the market price for a fairly dubious science anyway along with analysts. Most pros I have known know their own bodies and what is required. Younger ones need guidance but most of them aren't ours and clearly their mother clubs are happy to use us.
i do know people who will improve your fitness and also your mental well being for the benefit of the team, it will cost you though and I'd wager it won't.
Eddie Robbo chasing you up sandhills never did anyone any harm, the wiser old heads went a few days early to get a head start!!!

Some talk the takeover is off. I don’t believe any rumours but apparently some ITK poster has mentioned it elsewhere.

Will wait to hear anything concrete from the club but really hope it isn’t true

Crossed wires by the looks of it.
Relax all.
The guy it is suggested heard something but was misunderstood it was the Sheff. Wed takeover!
from the most recent post of a ITK on the other board...

Still on as it stands .
There are however decisions being made over the manager and not so welcomed nervousness brought on by this bad run of form. Could do with a win and calm some nerves.
Crosby won’t be here long term anyway now, but club were adamant he was safe enough hands that we wouldn’t even be talking about relegation. Extra investment in the squad to protect that too.

The other ITK was also saying he had heard nothing negative.

Thanks ADD. The obvious concern is from Saturday we have 3 games in a week and if current form continues and the takeover is still pending then they’ll be even more uncertainty about our league status, but surely Crosby would be gone by then if things don’t pick up asap

Is it on or is it off, the rumour drums are beating over Prenton Park, the often mentioned but never seen take over continues to reverberate throughout the football world. The bookies say the money is on the Yeti being seen before the takeover.

Crumbling stadium is a bit excessive, mainly 30 years old. 40 minutes refers.

Pretty uninspiring journalism but it may allow some to feed their narrative that they demand someone richer subsidises their hobby. People may see themselves as victims but the current owner appears to be running out cash fast so the new era might be the exact opposite of what is hoped for.
One thing a takeover will do is bring the truth about the dome into the open. Our catering friend on here could advise us on the potential of filling it about 200 times a year as German beer and bangers venue next to Shafts!!
