Rumour Alert!

I thought I would just tell you all about a rumour I heard at the Luton game last night from somebody who knows a lot of the people behind the scenes.

Apparently Mike Newell is planning to take over the club sometime in October and instate himself as manager. Apparently there is also discontent in the board rooom towards Moore because of the long ball we are playing as well as our 2 early cup exits to lower league opposition. I dont know if any of this is true or not, it could be a wild rumour or it could hold some truth. Can anybody shed any light on this?

2 early cup exits aren't good, but 2nd in the league, he aint doing too bad. just rumours i guess.

Aslong as we get ourselves some money from the FA Cup whether it be getting through a few rounds or getting a televised game then I am not too bothered about the early exits in the other cups.

Bearing in mind what Mike Newell had to say about female assistant referees when in charge at Luton, I can't see him getting on with Lorraine Rogers! Yes, the only way he'll ever get to be manager here is if he buys the club!

If that happened I would not bother attending. Yes we need a good investor but I dont back his pedigree as either a manger, a person or as a club's owner.

If I was going to make up a rumour, and I'm not saying here that you've made anything up, but if I was then I'd probably not put 'Rumour Alert!' exactly as the title, and I'd probably try to make it half-way believable, something like... for instance...


I just heard that we're in talks to take Stephen Darby on two month's loan, because he needs competitive matches.


Oooh now that's quite good, I might even try spreading it a bit. :lol:
