    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

Pre season friendlies 25/26

Agree on balance the recruitment appears far more focussed and some indeed are exciting.
Wonder if Dennis is injured or more to it..
I suspect he’s injured and this close to the season even something minor wouldn’t be worth the risk.

Generally disappointing so far as we have struggled to keep the ball and have offered little going forward, albeit we look a bit better balanced with Brough at left wing back.

As RLC suggests it’s not been the best of halves especially going forward. Whitaker not really involved and Davison doing his usual, working hard but doesn’t look threatening. Hopefully we see Blacker and or Harris second half

Bristow was sitting on the bench after he came off so hopefully not serious

Slightly strange bringing Jennings on instead of one of the new lads. We know what Connor can do.

Reactions: Boz
Harris and Solomon coming on. Sol playing right wing back

We looked a bit brighter when the youngsters came on, but I thought it was a performance that confirmed a few fears. Solid defensively but offered next to nothing going forward, with our first shot off target coming in the 91st minute.

Shows fair amount of work needed on the squad but little chance getting many decent players in

Pretty dull fare but served its purpose. The game became a bit more interesting after 60 minutes when Wigan replaced half their team. Our new signings generally did fine, including the young loanees. Whittaker struggled a bit. Disappointing that we couldn't lay a glove on them.

I was impressed by Kenneh in the first half and Blacker in the second. They seemed the best of the youngsters who have arrived.

Whitaker looked very raw and I was not overly impressed by Smallwood, albeit it is only one game.

Bristow came off due to illness apparently.

I agree with posts so far.
Pretty solid in the back, ok in central midfield. But the three up front were awful.
No names, but one of two not good enough at this level.
Actually better when Connor came on, his link play brought more attacking action but little outcome of chances.
After all the subs, a couple of the youngsters actually did get some penalty area action and Taylor's chance in injury time was it!
I thought Brough did well. Smith as well.
Two centre kids could be useful against other league two teams.
No striker, no creativity except Connor and the youngsters late on. And why is Patrick taking set pieces?
We are desperate for attacking flair.
Otherwise another relegation battle.
I'd play Connor up front if Dennis is injured. Yeah I'm desperate for a real quality striker.

Wonder if we can get Johnny Smith on loan??
Yes, I'm desperate!
