Humey to Barnsley

Humey has moved from Leicester (relegated Leicester) to Barnsley for £1.2million. So we won't see him at PP next season (unless in a cup game) but he could help us. Apparently there was a clause when we sold him to a 10% sell on, which could bag Rovers £120k! Every little helps, hopefully all this incoming transfer funds will be used to strengthen the squad with some real quality additions.

He didn't have a spectacularly good time at Leicester, which goes to prove that Little undervalued him at £750k.

May be 10% of the profit, rather than 10% of the headline fee.. which would be

1,200,000 - 750,000 = 450,000

450,000 / 10 = 45,000

Well 45k is better than nothing, although of course Ellison was less than nothing and we got 50k for getting shot of him!!

I never understood why Hume went to Leicester. They were only good when O'Neill was manager. Barnsley are now flush with cash after their Cup run, but I'm not sure this move is any better for Iain. I think he ought to have been looking for a Premiership club, eg Hull, maybe as a squad player hoping to break into the first team. I doubt he'll ever get into the Premiership now, but I hope I'm wrong.
