Never like to see any player get injured but don't think its a blow for the team as i'd have Jennings and McAteer ahead of him in the back up to central midfield.

Power!
I agree with Joe, but because we have such a small squad this season the loss of any player for a long period gives us less options or back up.

However I think we'll be ok.

Not fundemental to the site right now, but worrying nonetheless. This is were having a decent sized squad comes in handy, because that's six weeks already, and we're only 1 week into the season! Injuries are an inevitable part of any season, and I just hope we have enough cover for the season ahead.

Let's put this into perspective, he's out for six weeks, not six months. So I'm sure he'll get first team opportunities again this season - particularly (as has already been said) with how small our squad at the moment.

To be honest though if you look at our squad the one position we have a good amount of cover for is Centre Midfield.

... which means that there will be good competition for places.

Not to worried about this injury. As other people have said that there is plenty of cover for the centre of midfield and also feel Jennings. McLaren, Mullin and McAteer are just that bit ahead of Danny at the moment.
