Offered a four year deal by Middlesborough. Disappointed, as it means there is no chance of him coming here permanently, but very pleased for him personally.

From Tony Mowbray's comment that he will be ready for their team 'in a year or two' I think he will still be available to us when he returns from injury.

Looks a good player in the making easily good enough for the championship in a season or so if he carries on like he has been for us. Be interesting to see if he can make it in hte prem with them if they go up and then stay up.

Yet another example of a raw young player coming to us on loan and returning to his parent club as a potential first-teamer. It can only make it more attractive for Premiership and Championship clubs to lend us their promising talent.

On a related issue, we are apparently also close to extending Palmer's loan to the end of the season.
