Unfortunately we were beaten 2-1 by Stockport in the final tonight after extra time, although it sounded like a young Rovers side gave a decent account of themselves.

By all accounts, a very young Rovers side. Presumably we couldn't afford to risk any of the first-team squad with such an important game ahead. Only Hogan, Hill and Mackreth have featured in the first team this season and I assume they won't be playing on Saturday.

Also a near full strength Stockport side, including Gareth Roberts and Odejayi, given their season effectively over. I would guess if McNulty is unavailable for Saturday, Hogan would be on the bench
