Carling Cup Round 1

Well, the first fixture has been released, for the Carling Cup, which should take place on Tuesday 11 August. Rovers have yet again been drawn with Grimsby Town! This time a more favourable draw as the match is at Prenton Park, so not a bad game for the first round of the cup and hopefully a decent chance of reaching the second round with the prospect of possibly drawing one of the bigger PL sides in round 2.

It could have been, as it normally is, a lot worse!
