Spearing needs a spell out of the team, we need younger fresher legs.

Attack wise almost nothing, Maynard not making the best of a decent ball from O’Connor our closest thing to a chance.

From the commentary the defence has been at fault for the goals, there is a total lack of width with the wing-backs too occupied with defensive work to get forward and Spearing as a 1 man central midfield is getting swamped. Unsure that Foley and Watson who seem to be doing most of the warming up will make much difference.

H/t subs Foley for Spearing understandable but taking off Hawkes who was almost our sole source of width more puzzling.

More subs. We’ve ended up with Kieron Morris as left wing-back which is always bad news and Clarke concedes a penalty which is converted. Damage limitation now.

Bizarre - what on earth is MM thinking switching to Morris at LB and even worse bringing on Mani who should be nowehere near the squad never mind the pitch. I despair.

Are Orient that good - or were we that bad? Can anyone who was there find any positives?

Orient away was never going to be easy. they’ve an experienced manager and are in and around the top 6.

However I wasn’t expecting a 4-0 thumping. You wonder if it could impact on our January transfer dealings (should we now start a collection for Nors wages?!).

the break in games was a big shame as we had a bit of momentum after the point at Bristol and Bradford victory. You wonder now what a 4-0 tonking could do for confidence on Tuesday at as Mart says, a poor Oldham side.

It sounded dire, commiserations to anyone who went.

While the weaknesses in our squad have been well highlighted and won’t be remedied now by Cup progress, there seemed some very puzzling changes by Micky after not sticking with the winning formation v Bradford. While could understand why he might go for 3 at the back to start, those substitutions during the game were mostly ineffective.

Fair result, I am sure Orient would have expected a tougher game than that. Absolutely poles apart on the day in terms of player quality and tactics.

We were never going to win the cup so lets focus on the league

1 shot on target. We need much much more than this. I didn't expect it to be easy but that was a very poor performance all round from the players to the managers tactics. It will be interesting to see what Mellon says.

Questions need to be asked of Micky's use of the squad, Walker and Merrie barely had a look in and Micky pushed to sign Duffy yet he's hardly played either
