Not a shock and a shame as when fit he was good player for the level we had him atBrad Walker released by Hartlepool
Indeed but have you ever seen a player walk so badly? If he had been a horse he'd have been shotNot a shock an a shame as when fit he was good player for the level we had him at
All the players involved at the end of that 2018 play-off final are automatic TRFC legends in my view.Jay Harris, now 39, has been released by Warrington Town.
The club has paid tribute to him:
“Jay Harris made his debut against Matlock Town in 2021 and went on to make 170 appearances for the Yellows, scoring nine goals.
His tenacity, leadership and energy in midfield helped drive the club to the play-off final in his first season, and then onwards to promotion the following year.
Boasting vast experience in the Football League from earlier in his career with Accrington, Chester, Wrexham, Tranmere and Macclesfield, Harris turned 39 last month.
Aside from a spell sidelined through injury during the first season in the National League North, he has been a regular in his five seasons with the club.”
Never seen a team dig so deep to win a match, and probably never will again. Anywhere. All the players involved at the end of that 2018 play-off final are automatic TRFC legends in my view.
Don't think it is uncommon, too many move clubs and even get dropped by one knowing they'll get a pay rise at another. Industry inflation can over come personal failure.Never seen a team dig so deep to win a match, and probably never will again. Anywhere.
A few days ago I saw Alex Ferguson’s old quote about his best United teams being driven by a hatred of losing, even more than by a desire to win, to get through many of their toughest battles. Reminded me of the character of those 2018 promotion winners and their sheer refusal to accept the possibility of defeat that day.
For me, that character is the biggest trait we’ve been short of in recent seasons. I don’t accept that any of our players haven’t cared or haven’t tried, and many of them are decent enough footballers, but the squad hasn’t had enough of that character or hatred of losing in its DNA.
what a dressing room that must have been with harris, jenno, Mcnulty, scotty davies etcAll the players involved at the end of that 2018 play-off final are automatic TRFC legends in my view.
Plus the terrific manager, who instilled a winning culture that has not been seen since his departure. All the players involved at the end of that 2018 play-off final are automatic TRFC legends in my view.
He will always be a Tranmere legend and rightly so but it would be a poor move to sign him and it would show we have learned nothing from the last few seasons.Nors says his goodbyes to Fleetwood.
Heart says I’d take him back for a year. Heads says no.
Yes plus he’s 35 and missed a lot of games this season. Warrington Town perhaps. He will always be a Tranmere legend and rightly so but it would be a poor move to sign him and it would show we have learned nothing from the last few seasons.
Eastbourne Borough, surely?Yes plus he’s 35 and missed a lot of games this season. Warrington Town perhaps.
Penalties now being taken. Hopefully Rochdale win.Mani D with a 97th minute equaliser sends the play offs final into extra time
Rovers old boy Erico Sousa scored Boreham Wood’s (not Borehamwood’sBorehamwood miss 3 of 4 and Rochdale quite rightly get promoted
) only successful penalty.
