Welcome to the Trust’s latest newsletter. We hope you are enjoying the summer and are not missing the football too much. League 2 fixtures are out next week and with some encouraging signings, the squad is slowly but surely coming together.

Fan Park

Once again, we would like to say a big thanks to all the volunteers who continue to make the Fan Park on matchdays a huge success.

We have been working constantly behind the scenes with the new Fan Park and are pleased to announce that after careful examination of the costings, we are now in a position to be able to instruct all the necessary parties to move ahead with the design, specification and detailed drawings of the new facility, so that all pre planning conditions can be met to Wirral Borough Council’s satisfaction and construction can start as soon as possible.

We are really hoping to have the new venue open before the end of 2022 / early 2023.

On the opening / launch night, we will be welcoming as many ex-players to the event as possible as we restart the former players foundation and utilise the new Fan Park as their home on matchdays.

We would like to thank you for all of your support and patience with the project that will now proceed.

There are still opportunities to sponsor or support the new Fan Park, including:

1. Sponsor one of the remaining three brew tanks for £5K each.

2. Get your name on a commemorative wall inside the venue - £50.

3. Buy tickets for the launch party - £25 each. (200 already sold maximum of 400 left).

4. Invest in the bond scheme. This remains open with over £200K already secured. If you are interested, please contact us via email.

Community Tickets

We are currently running a Crowdfunder for the Community Ticket initiative and aim to raise £20K from our supporters. The Club has kindly agreed to match every ticket paid for. At present, with the donations that we have received so far and the Club’s contributions, 1,600 tickets have been purchased for children and families to attend a match at Prenton Park who may not have had the opportunity to otherwise.

Please share, donate and select one of the many rewards on offer.

500 of the tickets will be allocated to children / families in August & September in memory of Nate Gidman and to celebrate his birthday.

Proposed New Stadium: Bidston Moss

We currently have a survey running in conjunction with TROSC to gauge the initial reactions from our members of the plans to undertake a feasibility study to move to a new ground at Bidston Moss. Please complete the survey if you can.

Food Parcels

Over the last six months in conjunction with Tranmere Rovers in the Community, we have distributed over a 1,000 food parcels and helped over 4,000 local people who have been struggling financially.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who have helped to pack and deliver the parcels over recent months. We would also like to thank all of our generous fans who have donated items and referred others who are in real need.

We will shortly be announcing further help that we will be able to provide over the summer months.

Boots and Trainers Appeal

Once again, we will be running a collection of football boots and trainers in August / September when a lot of pressure is put on parents to spend out on new school shoes as well as new boots / trainers for the new season. Please keep hold of any old or spare boots that you may have and would be willing to kindly donate. Details of how to donate will be made available nearer the time.

Season Cards 22/23

We continue to work with the Club on promoting season cards for the coming season. We would like to particularly highlight the option to pay interest free over 10 months for no extra cost (apart from an initial £5 admin fee). The Club and ourselves appreciate that fans’ finances are incredibly tight at present and we thank them in providing this facility.

3100 season cards have been sold to date.

Murals

Next week, Paul Curtis will begin work on two new murals; one on a house on Home Farm Road, Woodchurch and the other on the Wirral Deen Centre, Borough Road, Birkenhead. We hope that both will bring a bit of colour to both area and recognise Tranmere Rovers FC and the Trust’s community links.

We thank you for your continued support of the Trust which will never be taken for granted.
