Well it opens soon, there are a few rumours doing the rounds of a couple of incomings which I guess will probably depend on 1 or 2 leaving.

I think it's safe to say Smith will return to Reading and there could be a chance another loanee leaving. Certainly a right back would be useful and maybe cover for Spearing unless Young can play that role.

With Christmas, Covid and Brexit, I hadn’t thought about this. :)

He has inherited a good squad, but I would expect Keith will want to tweak the squad using his knowledge of players at this level and using his contacts. I don’t know how much budget will be available, but maybe two in, two out is a possibility.

Yes, I would agree with all of that. I think we only need a couple of changes at most.

agree but we could do with someone to help him out. if mammy goes we might need a center-back

Alan Nixon has linked us & Salford with a right back from Birmingham on loan Josh Dacre-Cogley

Interesting - Salford likely to outbid us - O'Connor doing well today mind you!

Couple of shouts for a defensive midfielder lately. Just wonder if McDonald could sit in there with Jay. He's decent on the ball and as a LB he'll obviously have innate defensive qualities. A lot of game time he gets is out of position at RB which is neither fair on him or O'Connor.
Albeit if Rides has a long term injury it would quickly scupper that notion.
