i'd like to think we could sweep aside our league two opponents, but i think this will be a difficult game!

Rovers 2-1 Rochdale
Greenacre, Lambert
Sharps.

if i was gaffer.................(4-4-2)

....................................1.Achterberg

.......15.Goodison.....4.Jackson(c)....5.Sharps........3.Roberts

.......14.Facey.........12.Jennings.......19.O'Leary.......11.Aiston

..............................10.Greenacre...21.Dagnall

well thats the team i would pick anyway.i would give dagnall a start up front which may give him some confidence!i know puttin' facey wide right would raise a few eye-brows but i feel he suits being out wide!but after his "marvelous" performance on saturday i can't see little takin' him out of the forward line!i also think little will stick by danny harrison. don't no why like, cos' he wouldn't get in a sunday league side!(can't tackle, doesn't shoot and he can't pass a ball-say no more) :!:

I'll go 2-0 Rovers. For what its worth, my team would be:

Achterberg
Goodison-Jackson-Sharps
-Jennings-Rankine-Harrison-O'Leary-Roberts
Facey-Greenacre

Have seen Rochdale play twice this season, as my cousin is in their Center of Excellence and a Season Ticket holder there. Steve Parkin has got them playing some very good football, they are a good side.

Need to watch out for Holt, obviously, with 12 goals in the league this season, whilst Lambert is a free-kick expert and has nine in the league this season from midfield.

I'm going for a 2-1 win to Tranmere after extra time. This we'll just edge it, but only just. They are, as I say, a good footballing team, and will possess a real threat.

Team prediction:

Achterberg

Jennings
Jackson
Sharps
Goodison

Aiston
Harrison
Rankine
Roberts

Facey
Greenacre

Subs: Wilson, Zola, Dagnall, Whitmore, Henry

Scorers: Aiston and Facey for Rovers, Holt for Rochdale.

I'd agree with Matthew's team as to the one Little will start... except for O'leary instead of Rankine... says on official site O'leary is eligible and his loan doesn't finish til Wednesday. As for my prediction... I'll go with...

Tranmere 2-1 Rochdale.

DALE TEAM NEWS:

Leading scorer Holt misses out through Injury! Holt already has 12 league goals this season (13 in total).

Griffiths returns.

Gutted for my cousin, your going to lose!

I'm coming across from Manchester tonight. Anyone give me a weather report? Here's it's pretty dull and a bit gloomy, not nearly as bad as yesterday, at least I can see a little bit outta the window! Is the game gunna be on? Don't wanna make the trip to find out its been called off last minute!

Weather is clearer today. Well, it is at the moment. Fog could come down later though. It was pretty thick last night.

I really must go the game tonight whatever happens. Been missing the last few games.

here will be my team

wilson

roberts jackson sharps martin

aiston whitmore jennings

zola greenacre dagnall

subs: achterberg, tremarco, goodison, harrison, facey.

I dont like seeing keepers wasting away keeping a bench warm so its a chance to give hia go and give achto a rest. paul martins been itching to even get on the bench and here his chance cosidering our worries to get a right back. whitmore hasnt been getting regular action so heres his chance to shine.
come on rovers!

we can trust Brian to change the formation striaght after a win, so I'll go for:

----------------------Achto-----------------------

--------Jackson---Goodison----Sharps---------

Aiston--Jennings--Rankine--Harrison--Roberts

-----------Greenacre--------Facey--------------

2-0 to the white boys....

oh bum there goes my plan.....

unless of course he's said that to throw the opponents off the scent...?

then again, I don't think Brian has it in him to be devious....

It's not foggy in Heswall Coops, which is 15 mins from the ground. Getting dark but I can still see a fair distance out the window.
