Let's hope some of them get to see first team action down the line.

Slightly off topic, but had a look at where the released youngsters ended up.

Ilesamni: Llandudno hardly played
Omotola: Altrincham but then loaned to Ramsbottom Utd, scored once.
Fleming: Marine
Croughan Runcorn Town
Lucy: Runcorn Linnets scored twice for them, seems to have started well
Cringle Skelmersdale

Couldn't find out the current whereabouts of Udoyen Akpan or Daren Askew.

It may be that one or two of them impress at their current clubs and move back up the pyramid, but all have had to drop down at least a couple of levels to get a chance.

Yes its a shame that the boys have to drop down . Would be great to see some improve and move up again . Would be great to see some of the younger players given a chance. . Not like the good old days of kingy an warrick rimmer . Now there's a name for ya legend with the youth wow he brought a lot through an made the club a few bob

Still find the win at Maidstone difficult to believe, especially when half the team were released and none of the others have featured this season. You have to wonder if tonight's team would do as well. ;)

I feel for the young Rovers. It's difficult to blood them when you are either at the top or the bottom of the table, as we have been for the past five or six years.

Impressive stuff from the young lads, particularly since there's clearly been a stock check since last season.
Wherever they end up, whether it's Premier or Park League, I'm sure the lads who wore the shirts at Maidstone will remember the day with pride.
And rightly so.
