It’s ironic that we’ve been so poor in the central of defence recently that we have both Garnett and Jacko on the coaching staff. Mannys recent form must have them tearing their hair out.

McNulty said he would have stayed at the club if he’d been offered some sort of coaching Role. Hindsight is easy but maybe he should have stayed to help coach organisation etc. Although once the players cross the white line there isn’t much a coach can do

I suppose that reflects the difficulty in adjusting the squad mid-season.

We initially set the team up to play to the strengths of Payne, Ferrier and Mullin (such as they are), but now we have centre forwards that need very different service. We probably did not anticipate that we would need genuine wide players, and we were limited as to how many changes we could make in January.
