Keith confirmed post Posh match that CBT and Ferrier simply haven’t been selected in the squad. End of story.

although he then talked in general terms about player buy in and the group being ‘all inclusive rather than self catering’. Does that suggest they may have attitude issues? Possibly not but given what both those players give us, it must be something like that

Rich Garnett talking on trip to the moon about rumours about players like CBT and Ferrier being late for training which may be why they didn’t feature midweek

Interesting pre port vale match interview with Clarke who was asked what are his plans for next season. Said he wants to carry on playing so let’s snap him up as surely in L1 or L2 we would want to keep him

Ferrier departs to Israel for an undisclosed fee.

The curt statement on the OS says it all. No room at the club for players who are not pulling in the right direction.

Hopefully Nugent gets up to speed soon.

On his day he was unplayable but they were few and far between. Numerous injuries and only 5 goals says it all. Not good enough and rumours about his attitude meant he had to go.

hopefully not a risk signing Nugent given his age and lack of fitness as otherwise we only have Jolley as back up albeit Woolery can play up front

Yes - you do not often see such a terse official statement when someone leaves!

I quite liked him at times but he seemed injury prone and from all accounts his attitude wasn't great. We need everyone pulling in the right direction. I wish him well at his new club.

It’s good business getting any money for Ferrier and doubtful we’ll ever find the full truth about his departure. While I didn’t rate him as a striker, his ability to hold up the ball is an option we’ve now lost up front. Nugent is an unknown quantity good in his day, but how unfit is he now and what skills has he retained from his heyday? Worth a gamble certainly but not one to pin our hopes on yet. Jolley and Burton too raw at this stage to merit more than the occasional cameo and while Woolery and Lloyd can be deployed in forward roles, not their best positions. If anything happens to Vaughan, who’s had injury difficulties throughout his career, then we look a bit thin up front. Should we have hung onto Payne? Or maybe the manager with his knack of using players out of position will turn George Ray into the next Gary Lineker...
