Maybe a few injury niggles? Otherwise, I agree that it does seem a bit odd. Maybe MM sees something in the Blackpool set up we can exploit. I hope so!
Maybe partly tactical and partly to rest players with niggles. He is lucky enough to have a big squad with players who can come in and fit into any system. While I’d like us to do well tonight, Lincoln on Saturday is possibly more important.

To add to my last point, can you ever remember such a strong bench as tonight’s? And Danns, Caprice and Gilmour are off the radar.

The team spirit is good. The momentum is in our favour. While they say you should never change a winning team, Micky knows what his players can do and has excellent tactical nous. Let’s see what happens tonight.

Good lively start to the game. Blackpool with a few sniffs and a good chance from Tranmere with Morris dragging it just wide of the post.

Ferriers looking lively. Given him time and space. Lads looking confident here.

Header by Delfouneso crashes onto the crossbar and out for a goal kick.

To be fair to MM, he’s often had his best results when he tactically wrong foots the opposition by mixing things up, albeit often enforced.

Great cross from Woods on the left and a lovely header into the bottom corner from Ferrier.

Yess!!! Get in. Ferrier with a great dribble, layed onto Vaughan who smacked it bottom left corner. Brilliant from Rovers.

HT: 2-0 Rovers.

Superb half from Tranmere. Defended well, limited Blackpool to a few half chances. Ferrier has been brilliant and has caused them all sorts of problems. Blackpool lucky to still have 11 men on the field too. Ref bottled the second yellow.

I was a bit hesitent with five at the back but it's pretty much nullified any Blackpool attack so far and we've looked fast and confident on the break.

This has been an outstanding performance so far; on the pitch and by the SWA! We are looking a yard quicker all of a sudden. A whole load of great individual performances. A solid 45 needed.

Nando and Spearing on for second half. Very surprised that they didn't start.

Yes Nando has about 15 goals I think and is a big threat. Don’t want to give them any sniff of a come back

Cracking strike from Dewsbury-Hall. 2-1.
Blackpool different side this half.
