Not the formation I’d have gone for. Hoping the lesson of not leaving Vaughan isolated RLC mentions has been learned.

Cookie and Bowery up top for the hosts. Maynard on the bench

That's the big concern, and we play the ball in the floor or it comes straight back.

Andy Cook is upfront in place of Nicky Maynard. Looks like MacDonald at left wing back again.

In theory, 4-4-1 is quite defensive, but as well as retaining shape easily defensively, it allows midfielder to break forward in support of the main striker. Let's hope we play a pressing game and don't get pressed back.

That's pretty much what's happening at the moment. Lot of pressure on the Rovers defence, we kick it out, it comes straight back in. Balls already been cleared off the line after hitting the underside of the bar.

Presume IFollow video is working for you then Ian? Had to resort to commentary and it sounds very one sided so far.

There is absolutely no control in midfield. We need someone that can get hold of the ball and work it out of defence. All one sided at the moment.

Much better last 10 mins. Rovers enjoying more of the ball and Morris/Khan looking lively.

Vaughan is getting battered by their back line. He's working hard with very little support.

0-0 HT. Rovers defending well enough but not enough happening in the final third.

We started poorly, allowing the game to become a physical battle, which suits Mansfield. However, midway through the half we got the ball down and played and looked decent.

Could go either way but not impressed by Mansfield; very direct.

Tends to be that way when Cook starts.

Sounds like Mansfield back on top in the opening stages of the second half. See Mullin on the scoresheet for Cambridge.
