    New manager appointed
Tranmere Rovers have appointed Darrell Clarke as the club’s new manager.

Season Tickets 26/27

Just over 2,000 sold so far, down from 3,364 at roughly this stage last season.

I am surprised the figure is as high as it is to be honest.

Only two things can boost the figure - staying up and transferring the ownership. The first is far from certain. The second is unlikely to happen before the early bird deadline.

I think a change of ownership is actually a more important factor than survival for many people.

This time last year we were in an equally precarious position, but there was a general expectation that the ownership issue would be settled during the summer.

Does anyone know what the final figure for ladt season was

The club gave the figure out last week and it includes the free Under 8s tickets in the number, just under 700 down on the same time last season

I think if the sale had gone through by now, sales would have been significantly higher. The club and fans are on too much of a downer after a poor season and no takeover news.

There are a lot of nailed on supporters who will follow the Club through thick and thin in the hope that better things are just over the horizon including the members of this group! A takeover is desperately needed but there is no point in jumping out of the frying pan into the fire! Call me pessimistic but I cannot see a lot of Texans looking for a great return on what they would perceive as a high risk investment being the answer. It badly needs someone with an understanding of the area and a strong community spirit. We all once saw Palios as this but he is tired and wants out although he will not let the Club fail or sell it to carpetbaggers if he can possibly help it. That said, a time must come when the financial burden becomes too great.
