We do seem to have developed an early season injury "habit" over the past few seasons.Feeney and Woolery both miss out through injury. A 442 with Vaughan and Payne up front.

I agree it will be nice to see how a 442 goes. That said Feeeney is a blow for sure. Woolery will be also if if he is out for long as I didn't expect he would have started today anyhow.Ohh that's a bit of a blow. On the plus side, we do have two strikers on the pitch. Midfield need to give them some decent service.
The pitch looks even better with the rain.It has been absolutely tipping it down here all day, so it will be a test for the new pitch.
The game definitely would have been off with the old surface.
I think Woolery had to play on Tuesday to build up match fitness. He seemed to pick up a knock in a block tackle which was unrelated to the original injury.Have to wonder if it was a mistake picking such a strong xi for the EFL Cup. Woolery always seems a bit injury prone. Good starting 2 up, but not many options on the bench.
Indeed. Feeney's final ball has been excellent but Khan and Morris have not quite produced in that regard yet.Gutted feeney and Woolery are injured. Two strikers but can we create enough in middle?
