In form rovers next challenge sees Walsall come to Prenton Park which in the first time for approx 9 months, will see some fans at the game. How that impacts on the players remains to be seen. Most would say it will surely give the players a boost but could fate mean that our brilliant run of wins ends after the first game back for (some) watching spectators? Let’s hope not and they try even harder than recent weeks.

The Saddlers finished 12th in L2 last season and currently lie in 16th after a last minute penalty got them a point at home to lowly Stevenage on Tuesday night. Josh Gordon who was often competing with Ferrier and Cookie for a striking position scored the spot kick with his first appearance after a couple of months out. No other names of any note that I know of apart from experienced defender Mat Sadler but former Bristol Rovers man Darryl Clarke is the manager.

At the moment they are the draw specialists of league 2 with 9 stalemates from 15 games played. 3 wins and 3 defeats complete the picture.

Given our recent form I am sure they would take a point but this is a very winnable game for such an inform Tranmere side.

Assuming he is fit I would expect CBT to come in for Woolery. Lewis did a decent job on Tuesday with his work rate but Hill did make some post-match comments that he needs to improve so as we are at home, I would expect Khan to come back in to give us some more craft and guile in the final third. Apart from that and any injuries I suspect we’ll be unchanged.

Prediction: 2-0 win for rovers.

I think our good form will continue so I'm going for a 2-0 home win, with Khan and Vaughan bagging the goals. In other news, grass roots football starts again on Saturday after a 5 week absence so time to roll back the years and get my 43 year old carcass back on the grass! Keep saying this is my last year.....lets see hey haha!

Yes, I think CBT will come in for Woolery and possibly Khan for Lewis, but otherwise we will be unchanged.

This is the first of three winnable home games and we need nine points if we are serious about automatic promotion. If we maintain our recent standards, we should win relatively comfortably (famous last words).

A game we should win. Keeping the players on the pitch fresh and game management when appropriate start to become key in the midst of such a hectic schedule. Numerous previous experiences of Rovers' not doing what they "should" (win or lose) coupled with the laws of averages (every winning run comes to an end) make me a little cautious, but if Mr Hill can maintain the levels of commitment all should be well. I wish an enjoyable afternoon for you folks who are lucky enough to be attending!

well I'm looking forward to this I'm going for a rovers goal feast 4-0 with the midfielders getting one each, but would settle for another 1-0

I didn't hear Keith Hill's post-match remarks or see more than bare highlights of the Oldham game, but a bit surprised if he's singling out Lewis for criticism. Did Paul have a poor game on Tuesday? My view of the season so far under all managers is Lewis has played above expectation, whereas Otis Khan, while improving since Jacko left, hasn't yet reached the level I'd expected.

This is a game we should win, though it wouldn't surprise me if it's a lot tighter than expectations and as Walsall make themselves hard to beat, they are capable of getting something out of it. Will be interested to see the impact of having fans back in the ground. Kieron Morris will be up against his old club and with a point to make, so maybe on the score-sheet. Unlikely that the other ex-Saddler Ferrier, will start. Perhaps Danny Lloyd an option to replace Lewis, while you'd expect CBT to be selected if fit again.

I thought Lews played well on Tuesday but he did give a few needless free kicks away, as he tends to on occasions. However, I would not criticise a midfield player for getting stuck in. I am not sure Hill's comments were that harsh.

Yes it wasn’t really criticism to be fair. I think the interviewed just asked him and he said he’d worked hard but they wanted him to be more intelligent / or words to that effect. At home though I’d still prefer Khan

We should have the beating of Walsall on Saturday. I think we'll win this by a few goals. I'm going for 3-1.

I agree I don't think the comments were too harsh, and he did say some real positive stuff about him. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a start Saturday.

Think we should win but I have a baffling feeling that the crowd will be disappointed and we’ll scrape a draw. Hope I’m wrong.
